1. Get Active. The more you sit around the more affected you will be by stress. This is because there is less oxygen flowing through your blood.

So next time you start feeling overwhelmed get out of the house and go for a walk. If the weather is bad, turn on some upbeat music and dance.

2. Take a vacation. You don’t have to go to the Bahamas to relieve some stress. Take some time off work, enjoy yourself and unwind. Doing something adventurous will help you get your mind off your problems.

3. Spend some time with company. Share your stresses with others and get them off your chest. Expressing your concerns really helps to release tension and will help you loosen up a bit. Plus, getting out and enjoying yourself with your friends is a great way to have some fun for a change.

4. Serve others. It is said that the best way to find ourselves is to lose ourselves in the service of others. Helping the poor, the homeless or others more unfortunate than you will help you to count your blessings and help you realize that your problems may not be as bad as you thought.

5. Enjoy some comedy. Laughter really is the best medicine for stress. Go to a comedy club or watch a funny movie at home in your pajamas.

6. Pray. This may seem like the most simple of the stress tips presented here for you today, but it is by far the most profound. Getting on your knees and asking God to help you through a stressful event is by far the most important thing you could do.
